The Plaggemeyer Family: Est. June 3, 2006: January 2012

I know, I know. It has been a couple of months since my last post. But I've had a few good reasons for this. To start with, once the holiday's got here, life was nothing short of hectic! We enjoyed a nice, quiet Thanksgiving since Andy had to work. His dad and brother (also on his same crew) came over, along with my parents and we enjoyed a nice turkey dinner together. Andy got off work the next morning (Unfortunately, no Black Friday shopping for me...), we got right at putting up all our Christmas decorations! I'm pretty sure that the day we put up all our Christmas decor is my favorite day of the year! Well, it wasn't too long after that when I was considering posting on the blog again, however, to my dismay, our entire family came down sick. It was horrible. I think it is safe to say that those were the two worst weeks I've ever had in my life. They consisted of two visits to the Emergency Room and countless trips to the doctors office and pharmacy. Luckily, we all got on the mend and started feeling better a little before Christmas. However, the chaotic mess left me incredibly behind in my holiday preparations so the last thing I had time for was blogging. So Christmas came and the kids LOVED it that Santa had come! I love these precious memories that we have of our kids!

So, Christmas came and went and I had less than a week to get down all the decorations and get ready for Emily's 2nd Birthday Party!! She LOVES Strawberry Shortcake, so that was her theme this year! And I must say, the bright pink and green were super cute! I loved it! We celebrated with family on December 31 and had a blast!! I can't believe our little girl is already 2. Time sure is flying fast but we're enjoying every minute with her. I just love her to pieces....FYI, I can never put piggy tails in her hair again because she is just too darn cute to get in trouble!! :)

Emily's birthday party was followed by a New Year's Eve celebration! Emily lasted until about 10 and Garrett stayed up to watch the ball drop! I was impressed...although this was his SECOND year in a row that he stayed up to ring in the new year! Happy 2012!!

So that brings us up to date so far! Nothing too new going on, except for we are continuing in our preparations for Baby Number 3! Reason number 40536 why my blog is behind! I have been organizing, sorting, cleaning, and so much more in this past week! And let me tell you...if feels GREAT!! We are starting to feel ready for this baby to come! Emily will be sharing a room with the baby since she has the larger room. We could move all of our stuff out of the office and turn that into a nursery, but hey, I had to share a room with my sister when I was a kid, and we're normal!! :) Once the baby is here, if it's a girl, it will stay with Emily and it it's boy it will share with Garrett...and him and Emily will get to swap rooms! Either way, we're EXCITED! And speaking of which, I've had a few appointments since my last post....(3 to be exact!). All is well and healthy with baby. One of those appointments was our big 18 week ultrasound and we got a little peek at baby!! Yes, this was the one where they could tell us the gender and we're happy to announce that it's a..............BABY!! It will be a surprise, just like the other two were!! Other than that, I am feeling fantabulous and I have quite a bit of energy to get stuff done now. AND I've been feeling the baby moving around....lots and lots!!! I've been enjoying this for about 10 weeks now and I love it and wouldn't trade it for the world! Anywhoo, that should bring us up to date and I hope I've re-capped enough! Enjoy the pictures!!
